Short and Sweet

The day was not a short one, neither overly long, but it was very sweet to share with Jamie and Hideko. What will be short and sweet is this blog, or you will receive none at all! Let us begin:

Notre Dame, got to go inside this time--

Jeanne d'Arc (You know her as Joan!)

Next to
Sainte Chapelle, another splendid church nearby, you've never seen such stained glass:

The color is just as intense in the lower one and it's a whole church like that! A thrilling place to gaze upward.

Stories told in stone on the exterior.

Also fun to stand near the doorway and watch people's first impressions!

Following Sainte Chapelle, a little lunch, then a bit of the Louvre!

Islamic art: a wooden screen

Venus de Milo

Cimabue, you saw his work in Assisi tooo.

Leonardo da Vinci's Madonna of the the Rocks or something like that. Mona didn't photograph well.

On the way home--ironwork on balconies. Part of what makes Paris so visually glorious!

Sorry to rush, but that's a glimpse of my day yesterday.

A demain!
