Indeed! I have done it! I have traveled alone, with late flights and long ones, found my way on a city bus to my hotel and am enjoying a barbecue dinner on a patio under a blue sky with a gentle breeze. Mary and Bill are due in a couple hours with a car. Initially the road was not paved smoothly as the flight was an hour late leaving Reno and there was a bit of rush in San Francisco, but I had a pleasant seat-mate and slept nearly six hours.
It did help that I had really slept some, also that it is daytime, but I feel good and confident, attempting to enjoy each moment, just having received the dessert menu!
And so, I am on my way. Who knew I could travel so far on my own and feel good doing it? Yet here I am. I hope each of you can enjoy a moment today under a cool sky with a beer at hand or maybe a rhubarb ice cream!
Congrats, Jackie--not only on traveling alone and enjoying it, but also sleeping 6 hours in flight. You're my hero!
