We left Ullapool and sailed not the direction we had thought but the opposite way, demonstrating our lack of comprehension about our location on Loch Broom itself. The voyage was lovely: islands, islets and mere skerries with mountains in the background made a lovely necklace around us; here is part of it:
Piddled around Stornoway for a bit before driving to Tiumpan Head, end of peninsula in the northeast of the island that we won't likely get to again.
Into the hinterlands to find our lodging The Loch Erisort Inn; Chuck would have loved this place. There's even a resident sheep dog, retired, I think. Outside the window is the LAND we enjoyed so much:
