Grey Day

Into each life a little rain must fall, and that's all it was--a little rain. It's just that it rained gently most of the day. Still whatcha gonna do, spend your day whining? No indeed, we visited Inverewe Gardens, wandering  through a gentle drizzle, though I took few photos there, not one of which is worthy to share, So, Oops! no garden for you. There are a few shots with the misty mountains taken toward the end of the day:

Beautiful downtown Ullapool!

 Poolewe's old bridge

Mary with cut peat; we'll see lots of them on Lewis and Harris.

So nothing stellar today, just the beauty out the window. Maybe not an artistic composition, but the view is incredible: a green slope interspersed with rock slabs rising steeply from Loch Broom.

Ferry to Lewis today, a long ride, tomorrow Callanish and its magnificent stones. I am hoping my cold will improve, so annoying to be hacking away, but I love being here.

  1. Grey day, the rain is coming down
Grey day, and you’re coming to a town
    For you’ll always ‘member Poolewe
    And you’ll always ‘member Ulapool
Once you’ve navigated the Scottish wet lands all round!
